Family Mediation

NSCMC mediators have the training and experience to assist families as they navigate conflicts that can surface at different phases in the life of a family. Mediation provides a safe and neutral forum designed to open communication and support cooperative solutions. The voluntary, confidential and neutral mediation process can be particularly effective in helping address sensitive family conflicts. Family Mediation services available include parent/child mediation, couples/partners mediation, divorce mediation, and elder mediation. NSCMC offers a sliding fee scale to families seeking mediation in order to encourage access to this effective and cost-efficient approach to resolving disagreements. Families can contact the NSCMC office directly or can be referred by other professionals.

Mediation often results in a written agreement, affirming the accomplishments and commitments the participants have achieved. However, with or without a written document, the process can substantially improve relationships by opening new communication
